Some websites might be affected while some might not. Google reiterated this by referring to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/webmasters.googleblog.com\/2019\/08\/core-updates.html\"><span>a blog post from the Official Google Webmaster Central blog<\/span><\/a><span> in their announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>If you were negatively impacted by the update, there is no exact way to recover your traffic or rankings immediately. However, it is not impossible. When hit by an update, Google stated that it is not that something is wrong with your website. Rather, you should focus on improving the overall quality of your website. This is also to help users identify immediately where information is coming from. Google also updates the \u201cAd\u201d icon for paid search. Rather than a favicon, paid search results will show a bold \u201cAd\u201d icon. It is interesting to see what the first broad core update of the year will bring as the last <a href=\"https:\/\/seo-hacker.com\/google-september-2019-core-update\/\">update in September 2019<\/a> did not have a huge impact according to most SEOs.
